Dog Walking Service in Herndon, VA
Professional Dog Walkers Who Know Your Dog by Name
Woofie’s® of Reston-Herndon-Sterling is a full-service dog walking company built around one idea: your dog deserves a walker who knows them, not whoever’s available on an app. Every new client starts with a complimentary in-home consultation before the first walk, and our professional dog walkers are background-checked, insured, and trained and certified in pet first aid and CPR. After every walk, you’ll receive a visit report through the Woofie’s mobile app with notes, photos, and GPS tracking of the route.

How Our Dog Walking Process Works
From your first call to your dog’s hundredth walk, every step is designed to keep you informed and your dog comfortable.
Complimentary In-Home Consultation
A Woofie’s representative visits your home to meet you and your dog, learn about your dog’s routine, behavior, and preferences, and answer any questions about our services. There’s no charge for this visit.
Optional Meet-and-Greet
If you’d like to meet your professional dog walker before the first walk, we can arrange an introduction at your home. A fee applies to ensure your walker is compensated for their time. This step is especially useful for dogs with specific behavioral considerations or those that are slow to warm to new people.
Walker Pairing
We match your dog with a professional dog walker based on temperament and your household’s specific instructions.
Post-Walk Digital Update
After every walk, you receive a visit report through the Woofie’s mobile app, including notes, photos, and a GPS map of the route taken.
Consistent Ongoing Care
We work to assign the same professional dog walker to your dog’s regular visits so the relationship and the routine can grow over time.
Herndon Dog Walking: Local Routes & Leash Rules
Our professional dog walkers know Herndon. Whether your neighborhood connects to the W&OD Trail, which runs directly through town and offers dogs a well-maintained, year-round walking corridor, or you’re closer to Chandon Dog Park, a fully fenced off-leash area with separate sections for large and small dogs, a water supply, shade, and a double-gated entrance, we use the routes and spaces Herndon dog owners already know.
Fairfax County requires dogs to be leashed in all public spaces outside designated off-leash areas. Our professional dog walkers follow all applicable leash requirements on every walk.
What a Midday Walk Does for Your Dog
A typical workday leaves a dog alone for eight hours or more. That’s a long stretch without exercise, social contact, or a bathroom break. A professional midday walk can help bridge that gap in a way that supports your dog’s physical and emotional wellbeing.
Regular walks may help maintain a healthy weight, support cardiovascular health, and reduce the pent-up energy that often drives chewing, excessive barking, and restlessness. Senior dogs may do better with shorter, more frequent outings, while puppies need regular potty breaks due to limited bladder control. Whatever your dog’s stage of life, a scheduled walk with a familiar professional can make a real difference in their day and in yours.
Schedule Your Complimentary Consultation in Herndon
