What to Expect During Your Grooming Visit

Before the appointment, make sure our groomer can access your pet and has a suitable place to park the van. The self-contained unit carries the equipment, electricity, and water needed for the visit, so it doesn’t connect to your home’s utilities.

Most appointments take approximately one to two hours. Timing varies based on your pet’s breed and coat condition, as well as grooming frequency and behavior. A pet with a well-maintained coat may need less time than one with tangles or an overgrown coat.

Clients aren’t allowed inside the van during grooming unless a medical or behavioral issue requires their assistance. This gives the groomer room to complete the scheduled service. Once the groom is finished, your pet is returned to you.

Dog Grooming & Routine Coat Care

The appropriate services depend on your pet’s size, coat, and current condition. We can discuss the requested care when preparing your estimate.

Regular grooming removes loose coat, maintains nail length, and helps prevent tangles from progressing into mats. Most pets need grooming every four to six weeks, although coat type and the time between appointments affect the work required. A consistent schedule also makes routine coat and nail maintenance easier to plan.

Dogs below 80 pounds are typically accommodated for Mobile Pet Grooming. Weight and size limits are set by each location, so owners of dogs near that threshold should discuss their pet’s size before scheduling. We’ll also need to know about medical or behavioral considerations that could affect the appointment.

Upfront Estimates & Payment

We provide an upfront estimate based on the work involved in your pet’s requested appointment. Coat condition, grooming history, and requested services can all affect the estimate.

We ask clients to keep a card on file. Depending on the location, accepted payment methods may include:

Clients receive an itemized invoice, and the charge is processed within two business days.

If a pet is deemed un-groomable because of a health or behavior issue, a minimum fee of $20 applies. That fee may vary by location. Grooming can’t proceed when the pet’s condition makes the service unsuitable at that time.

After the first grooming visit, clients can arrange alternate access for future appointments. This can simplify later visits when the owner has another commitment. Access details should be arranged directly with our team in advance.

Cat Grooming & Pet Eligibility

Cat Grooming is available at select locations, so cat owners should contact us before booking. When a Cat Grooming appointment is available, the client is required to be home. Availability and appointment requirements should be discussed in advance.

Details about a pet’s medical needs and behavior allow us to assess whether grooming can proceed safely. If either makes the pet un-groomable, the scheduled service may not be completed.
