Shack’s path to becoming a Woofie’s® franchise owner was driven by his deep love for dogs and a commitment to making a positive difference in the Atlanta community. His leadership philosophy centers on service—cultivating a supportive work environment for his staff and creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere for customers and their cherished pets.

Shack’s sales and account management background has laid a solid foundation for forming strong relationships and understanding client needs. This experience taught him the value of accountability, responsiveness, and reliability. These qualities are core to the mission at Woofie's, where the goal is to provide trustworthy, dependable solutions that simplify pet owners' lives and enhance the well-being of their pets. 

A Glimpse into Shack’s Life

Shack is happily married to Courtney Dodson, his high school sweetheart. Their family is joyously completed by their black lab, Bowie—affectionately nicknamed "Boo"—who is 3.5 years old and the center of their universe.

Away from Woofie's, Shack indulges in outdoor activities such as golfing, fishing, and enjoying time by rivers, lakes, or parks, often accompanied by Bowie. He holds music, friendships, and family gatherings dear, embodying a sense of community and connection he aspires to foster through Woofie's of North Atlanta.

Engaging with the Community

Although just beginning their journey, Shack and Courtney want to engage more deeply with local charities and community initiatives. It's their way of contributing to the region that has offered them so much.
