Dog Walking in Macon

Personalized In-Home Dog Walking for Macon & Bibb County

Macon dogs don’t need a van ride to a facility. They need someone who shows up at the door, knows their name, and understands whether they’d rather charge down the block or meander through every interesting smell along the way. That’s what Woofie’s® of Greater Warner Robins delivers: in-home dog walking built around each dog’s routine, not a one-size schedule.

Macon is part of our served area, and our local team of background-checked, insured pet care professionals is ready to get to know your dog personally. We also offer pet sitting, mobile grooming, and a full range of in-home pet care for dogs, cats, and other household pets.

Ready to get your dog on a walking schedule that actually fits your life? Call us at (478) 207-6664 to get started.

What Sets Our Macon Dog Walkers Apart

Every dog has a different idea of a good walk. Some need to run off energy; others want a slow, sniff-filled stroll at their own pace. We tailor each outing to your dog’s preference and send the same walker whenever possible, so your dog can build a real bond with a familiar face.

Our walkers are background-checked, insured, and experienced with dogs of all breeds, sizes, and temperaments. Security matters too. We require two forms of entry to your home for each visit, and a lockbox is available for purchase if a key is one of your entry methods. You don’t have to hand your house key to a stranger and hope for the best.

How a Woofie’s Dog Walking Visit Works

We start with a complimentary In-Home Consultation. We come to you, learn your dog’s routine, behavior, and preferences, and match them with a walker who’s a good fit. No forms to fill out online, no guesswork.

If you’d like to meet your walker before the first outing, you can request a Meet & Greet. A fee applies for that visit, but many owners find the peace of mind well worth it. From there, scheduling is yours to shape.

Walk lengths and scheduling options include:

  • Visit lengths: 15, 20, 30, 45, or 60 minutes
  • Frequency: Daily, weekly, or occasional visits
  • Same-day bookings when availability allows

After every walk, you’ll receive a visit report through the Woofie’s mobile app: notes on how the walk went, photos of your dog, and GPS tracking showing the exact route. You’ll know where your dog went and how they did after each visit.

Macon’s Parks & Trails Worth Knowing

Macon-Bibb County gives dog owners a lot to work with. The Ocmulgee Heritage Trail runs more than 12 miles along the Ocmulgee River, connecting green spaces including Amerson River Park, Central City Park, and Ocmulgee Mounds National Historical Park. For a structured off-leash option, Macon Dog Park near Mercer University has separate fenced areas for large and small dogs. Tattnall Square Park, also near Mercer, spans close to 16 acres with paved walking paths.

All of that is great on weekends. On a busy Tuesday afternoon, having a trusted walker handle the midday outing is what can help keep your dog on a consistent exercise routine throughout the week.

Dog Walking Pricing & Scheduling in Macon

Walk pricing depends on visit frequency, your dog’s size, and the number of dogs in your household. Additional fees may apply for multiple dogs or extra-large dogs. Rates are subject to change at Woofie’s® of Greater Warner Robins’s discretion, so the best way to get accurate pricing is to connect with our team directly.

If a walk falls on a major holiday, a Holiday Schedule surcharge applies. That covers New Year’s Eve and Day, Easter, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Black Friday, and Christmas Eve and Day. The full surcharge goes directly to the walker who works that day.

The In-Home Consultation is always free; a fee applies only if you choose to add a Meet & Greet with your assigned walker. To schedule your complimentary In-Home Consultation, call Woofie’s® of Greater Warner Robins at (478) 207-6664 today.
