Meet the Pups Making a Difference

Meet Koda, the therapy dog at Forest Elementary, and Sunny, who supports students at Warner Middle School. These two pups do incredible work every day, offering comfort, connection, and a little extra joy to students navigating the ups and downs of school life. Whether it's calming pre-test jitters, offering a quiet companion during a hard moment, or simply being a friendly face to greet kids in the hallway, Koda and Sunny have become an important part of their school communities.

Therapy dogs like Koda and Sunny play a real role in supporting kids' emotional well-being. Studies and everyday experience alike show that time spent with a therapy dog can lower stress, ease anxiety, and help children feel safe and supported at school. Anyone who has spent time with a therapy dog knows just how much that presence can mean, sometimes a wagging tail says more than words ever could.

Woofie's has always believed that caring for pets means caring for the whole community around them, and that includes the special animals who serve a bigger purpose beyond the home. Farmington Hills Public Schools has invested in the wellbeingof its students by bringing therapy dogs into their buildings, and we wanted to find a way to invest right back.
