Planning time away from home in Evans, Martinez, or Augusta? Two options to consider are scheduled drop-in pet-sitting visits and in-home overnight care. The main difference is when a sitter is with your pet: drop-in visits cover agreed visit windows, while our overnight service covers 7 PM to 7 AM.
The right plan depends on your pet’s routine, how long you will be away, and the amount of time your pet is comfortable between visits. Woofie’s of Evans-Augusta discusses these details with you during a consultation before care begins.
What are drop-in pet-sitting visits?
With in-home pet sitting, a sitter visits your home at scheduled times to provide agreed care. Tasks can include feeding, fresh water, exercise, playtime, waste cleanup, litter-box care, and companionship. Discuss medication requirements before booking.
Our published visit options are:
- 20 minutes: $25.
- 30 minutes: $35.
- 45 minutes: $45.
- 60 minutes: $55.
Additional fees may apply. Confirm the full rate for your schedule and care requirements before booking.
What does overnight pet sitting cover?
Our in-home overnight pet-sitting service provides a sitter in your home from 7 PM to 7 AM, with a published price of $100 for a 12-hour visit. Care includes evening and morning feeding, walks, water refills, cleanup, and companionship according to the agreed plan.
Overnight care does not automatically provide daytime coverage. If your pet needs a midday bathroom break, a meal, or company, discuss additional daytime visits when arranging your trip. Confirm applicable holiday, additional-pet, and other charges before booking.
How to compare the options for your pet
Start with the usual routine
Write down when your pet normally eats, goes outside, and receives attention. Use that schedule to discuss the timing of care rather than choosing only by visit length or price.
Consider the gaps between visits
A drop-in plan leaves periods when a sitter is not present. An overnight plan provides a longer evening and overnight stay, but still requires a discussion about the daytime hours. Tell us about your pet’s behavior when alone and any care instructions that affect scheduling.
Compare the whole trip’s care plan
Include your departure and return times, not just the dates in between. Ask for the cost of the complete schedule, including daytime visits where needed, so you can compare options on the same basis.
Where do walks fit into vacation care?
A walk can be one part of a pet-sitting visit. The photo accompanying this article shows two spotted dogs on a neighborhood walk, an example of outdoor time to consider when discussing your dog’s routine.
If you need help during workdays rather than a trip, explore our dog-walking services. For travel, discuss the full feeding, bathroom, exercise, and companionship schedule with our team.
Questions to discuss during your consultation
- Which visit times and lengths match my pet’s routine?
- Would overnight care plus daytime visits be appropriate?
- What home-access arrangements and supplies are needed?
- What medication or special care instructions should we review?
- What updates will I receive, and whom should I contact if travel plans change?
- What is the full price, including any additional charges?
