Meet Our Owners: Stephen Coffey and Tesa Harris

At Woofie’s® of St. Petersburg, pets aren’t just clients—they are family. Owned and operated by Stephen Coffey and Tesa Harris, this local franchise brings a personal, heart-centered approach to pet care across St. Petersburg, Gulfport, and St. Pete Beach. 

After moving from Cleveland in 2015, Stephen and Tesa fell in love with the tropical peninsula lifestyle and decided to build a business that reflects the warmth of their sun-drenched community.

A True Family Venture

The “family business” label isn't just a tagline here; it’s the daily reality. Their seven-year-old daughter, Elle, is the team’s biggest cheerleader, while the household is rounded out by their 19-year-old special-needs cat, Martini, and their 9-year-old American Staffordshire mix, Gator.

Stephen brings 20 years of high-end hospitality experience to the grooming van. He treats every groom like a curated work of art, applying the same precision, patience, and clean-and-organized mindset he honed in professional kitchens.

Tesa utilizes her 20-year background in operations and customer service to ensure the business is the most reliable and caring in the Tampa Bay region. She thrives on building lasting relationships with local pet parents.

Community-First Pet Care

Living in a pet-centric area filled with farmers' markets, sunset strolls, and nature preserves like Weedon Island, Stephen and Tesa understood the need for a service that mirrors the local spirit. They chose Woofie's because of its community-driven values and "pets-as-family" philosophy.
