Woofie's of South Scottsdale is a local franchise owned by JoDee Tester and Emily Brumfield. Our journey towards owning this franchise began with our deep love for pets and the recognition of a need for upscale, personalized pet care services. JoDee and Emily are not just business partners, but also long-standing friends who first crossed paths 18 years ago while working as nurses in an emergency room in California after Hurricane Katrina. (They often joke that despite living only 30 minutes apart, it took a journey of 2500 miles for their paths to cross.)

Over the years, they've been each other's rock, navigating life's ups and downs together. With a combined nursing experience of 48 years, JoDee and Emily decided it was time to turn their dream of business ownership into reality - hence, Woofie's of South Scottsdale was born. Their background in nursing has equipped them with compassion, dedication, and attention to detail – qualities they believe will contribute to the success of their franchise venture.

Friendly Pet Care Enthusiasts You Can Trust

Outside of work, JoDee has been happily married to her husband Mike for 22 years and Emily to her husband Keith for 28 years. They're proud pet parents. JoDee is a mom to Liam (a lovable Pit Bull Terrier mix), while Emily is a mom to Bruce and Scout (two adorable golden retrievers).

When not busy running the franchise or caring for their fur babies, JoDee enjoys golfing, sewing, crafting, wine procurement, and cooking. Emily is passionate about fitness, swimming, healthy meal prep, discovering farm-to-table restaurants, and attending farmer's markets.

JoDee previously crisscrossed the country with her husband as a traveling nurse before choosing Arizona as their home. Emily, born and raised in Louisiana in a rural community on Bayou Teche, cultivated her love for animals early on and has taken it with her throughout her life journeys.

Despite being busy, JoDee and Emily make it a point to support small local businesses. They believe in giving back to the community and supporting its growth.
